Michael Uvalle, founding attorney

Michael Uvalle founded LAWBOSS – Uvalle Law Firm, PLLC. Before he became a lawyer, he worked for several of the largest insurance companies in Texas. There he saw from the inside how injury claims are evaluated, valued and defended. He decided to switch sides, and founded the firm to put that knowledge to work for people who are injured. The firm calls it the insurance insider advantage.

He is not the only one at the firm who came from the other side. Several of the firm’s attorneys worked as insurance adjusters or as lawyers for insurance companies before joining LAWBOSS. In a truck case, where the trucking company’s insurer has a claims team working from the first day, that experience helps us anticipate how the other side will approach the claim.

How we work

1. We answer. The line is answered 24 hours a day, every day, and the first consultation is free.
2. We secure the evidence. In a truck case that means a preservation letter to the trucking company as soon as we are hired, before logs, video and inspection reports are lost.
3. We find every responsible party. Driver, carrier, owner, broker, shipper, repair shop, manufacturer, as the facts show.
4. We handle the insurers. Calls and letters from the other side come to us.
5. You decide. No claim is settled without your agreement.

Fees

The consultation is free. The firm takes injury cases on a contingency fee, a percentage of what is recovered. If there is no recovery, you owe no attorney’s fee and no case costs; the firm advances the costs of investigating and pursuing the claim.
